Web surveys are an effective data collection technique when email addresses are readily available and up-to-date. Further, web surveys are cost-efficient for large samples and can be easily combined with paper data collection efforts. CSR utilizes Qualtrics web survey software for all of its web-based data collection projects.
Sponsoring agencies can customize the “look and feel” of their survey to mirror their organization’s appearance or use one of CSR’s standard templates. The software allows sponsors to use their logos and/or images, change the color, font, size, and style of survey text and background features, and add an exit URL at the end of the survey.
CSR staff program each survey using dozens of different question types, skipping logic, and a customized survey template. Closed access (login required) and open access (no login) surveys are offered. The software assists with sending invitations and survey reminders by email to closed access participants. Sponsors have the opportunity to view and test the survey before fielding begins.
